Rail shower and overhead rose on the one set of black fittings, and the mixer set out so the spout lands centred over the basin. Every one of those positions is fixed at rough-in, before there is a wall to hang anything on.
The overhead rose is plumbed down from the ceiling rather than out of the wall, so that run was set before the tiler ever arrived. The floor falls to the waste set into the tile.
The smallest room in the house, treated like the largest. Half height subway with a capped edge, concealed cistern, and a black basin doing all the work so the palette stays quiet.
A renovation is mostly things you will never see again. The fall on a waste, the way a wall is braced behind the tile, whether the mixer sits true. Get those wrong and the room looks fine for a year.
