About Sate Plumbing
Sate Plumbing started in 2019. One van, one licensed plumber, and a written price before anything starts.
How it started
Jonathon started Sate Plumbing in 2019, on his own, with one van. It is still run exactly that way. The work comes from homeowners, landlords and agents right across Melbourne, and a fair amount of it comes from people who have used him before or were told to by somebody who had.
He works out of Williamstown North. Owner-operated means there is nobody to hand the blame to: the name on the van is his, and so is every job under it. If something is not right afterwards you ring him, and he comes back.
Licensed through the Victorian Building Authority and insured. The jobs run from a dripping tap to a full bathroom, and both get priced the same way: looked at first, written down, and approved by you before anyone starts.

We answer the phone
The thing customers mention more than any other. Not an answering service, not a callback queue. Most of the time it is Jonathon who picks up, and if he cannot he rings back.
You get told what is wrong
What the problem actually is, what your options are, and what each one costs. If something can be repaired rather than replaced, we say so, even when replacing it would pay us better.
The price you approve is the price
Written down before work starts, and it does not move afterwards. Nothing gets added on, and nothing gets recommended that you do not need.
The part you never see
Most of a plumbing job is finished before the room is. These are three of them, part way through.

A rough-in, set out and braced before anyone laid a floor over it. Nobody sees this again. -
Cut out of one drain. What is left of the bore is why it kept blocking. -
The isolating valve goes where somebody can actually reach it. Nobody notices that until the day they need it.
